"Difficult" Review: Lisa Conta's debut single sees her speak on her growth in self-empowerment

Lisa Conta - Difficult

London’s latest rising star Lisa Conta has landed on the cover of Wonderland Magazine, British Vogue and Elle. Signed to the legendary modelling agency ‘Storm Models’ she has also appeared on the cover of magazines such as The Guardian’s Observer alongside Chloe x Halle. She has mesmerized with her beauty and beyond her image, has remained somewhat of a mystery until now, as she is set to captivate the world with her voice via the release of her debut single.

Whilst initially dreaming of a career in pro-basketball, it has been her calling as a model and singer/songwriter that have determined her course. Surrounded by a musical family that includes her grandfather, ‘The Singing Prince’ of Gambia, and her own father Eddie Conta, it was inevitable that Lisa would too, someday, find her own voice.

Delivering shades of experience, and an exquisite musical palette, Lisa Conta releases her debut single ‘Difficult’.

“Difficult” sees Lisa Conta explicitly articulate the elevation within her dating standards. The somewhat drastic nature of these modifications have allowed her to be more forthcoming with her expectations of future partnerships. Her realisation and acceptance of prospective poor unions is apparent when she states “What I need and what you want can be two different things” as Lisa hones down and cements the idea that she deserves the very best for herself.

The track's instrumentation has all the inklings of the neo R&B sound featuring mid tempo trap hi hats, atmospheric synths and a sporadic drum pattern.
